Hey lovelies, we all well hopefully all of you grew up with learning manners and how to politely talk to adults and other people. Since the very beginning of my sickness I have been taken care of by nurses and doctors and aides and all types of people. I always say Hello and usually ask the how their day is going or how are they. It was especially weird for me in the beginning being around nurses who will do anything for you. They will get you food or water or just a nice warm blanket (which are the BEST!!). I felt like I needed to owe them something back because they took such good care of me and people had to explain to me that, that is their job. I always make sure to say Please and Thank You. A little kindness and manners goes a long way for some people and can even make their day. Also just checking up on them and getting to know somebody is also really nice. Another thing that I have a lot of now is patience. I have a lot of it because for a while I was unable to do thing on my own and would have to wait for someone to help me. So, I would have to wait on them and still be polite. It was not always the easiest having patience but you gotta look from it from their stand point and then yours. All in all I think manners and a little bit of patience can go a long way and even make somebodies day.
