Hey lovelies, today is Saturday August 29th 2020, and I decided that I wanted to give you guys a little life update and what is currently going on. First I have been able to walk again for about a good four months now and I am very happy about that. I still have to do physical therapy because the doctors found out that because of all the steroids I was taking for after my treatments, those steroids where slowly breaking down the bone marrow in my bones and now I have osteoporosis. I do have to admit it is painful but I power through it and just remember to breath and take it slow. As for school, my friends are going back to school or starting online on the 31st which is Monday. I am still doing online Florida virtual because I have been doing it for a couple of months now and it works for me and is flexible with my schedule. I do have to admit I do miss my friends and teachers, but so far I have not had a bad experience with Florida virtual and it works for me. I am also very excited because I am working with the wonderful organization Make A Wish to have one of my wishes come true. After thinking long and hard about my wish iI finally came up with something that will make me happy and that I will love. A little background to this is, when I was in the hospital last year I had these two people or wish granters come to my room and talk about it with me. I do have to admit I was very sick at this time and it was not the best time for me to be thinking about a wish. Then a couple of months later I had another wish granter come to the house and talk to me and she was great. We planned a nice little trip to New York where we were going to go sight seeing and see a couple of broadway shows and just really enjoy the city. But, unfortunately around that time I started to loose the feeling in my legs and was not able to walk around and was in a wheelchair. We had to cancel that trip. Finally another wish granter contacted us and I told her that I really wanted an area or space that I can make my own and really enjoy. At first I told her that I wanted a house to remodel with my dad since that is what he does as his job. She told me unfortunately they do not give away houses. This news kinda made me sad but I kept on thinking about what I can do. Finally me and my family came up with the idea that we can turn the back room, which is our living room, into my dream room. I told my wish granter this and she thought it was a great idea. She got me in contact with an AMAZING designer and we talked and now we are in the planning stages of the wish. There is also a great opportunity that is also to come with this wish, but do not worry I will be telling you guys about that soon. So I am very excited and happy about all of that. Since my story about my battle and life with this awful disease is so powerful and inspiring I have had a couple of organizations and news outlets interested in my story. I was in a health feature that Channel 10 news does and they came to my house and interviewed me. I will link that down below. I also did an instagram take over for the Seena Magowitz Foundation. They also wrote an article about me, I will also link that down below. Then another organization wants me to do a podcast with them. All of that is very exciting and new to me, especially because I love sharing my story and connecting with people and inspiring them. I also would like to give a quick shout out to my friend and mentor Camille Moses. She is a strong beautiful woman who also has an amazing and inspiring story to tell and is just amazing💜! Thank you Camille. I am still single as a pringle and just living my life day by day and just being me. Focusing on the positive things and not letting the little negative things get in my way. Remember to take it day by day and just live life and enjoy it!
